Striking Occasion Dress - Collaboration with JARLO London

Recently I partnered with JARLO, an occasionwear brand from London. JARLO’s story began 10 years ago, on a tiny stall on Portabello Road Market, in the heart of Notting Hill - not too far from where I live and where I’ve spent a few months working. Now they offer diverse collections of dresses for a range of special occasions: inspired by nostalgia and mashed with a contemporary finish.

What was my special occasion? New Year’s Eve! I was meant to be spending it Aruba and I imagined this dress looking wonderful among the colourful architecture of Oranjestad. However, the travel restrictions have rapidly changed 2 days before our trip, and we are now spending the NYE in London.

Still, nothing changes my intention of wearing this dress on New Year’s Eve, as we are spending it at home in the warm environment. For anyone heading out, this dress would look lovely under a nice classic coat, or even a faux leather blazer or jacket for more of an edgy-chic look. As an example, I paired it with a dark navy blue oversized blazer which looked really sweet.

I love so many things about this dress. There’s an element of romance in the design, but it doesn’t overpower the contemporary finish. The corset on the outside detail has caught my attention straight away and is so trendy at the moment. The dress is well structured and the fit works wonderfully for me. Most importantly, the quality of the dress is amazing so it is definitely one of those that will last for occasions in years to come.

Have a peek at the other JARLO garments, they have a great range of collections including Bridal. And even better, they also take bespoke orders on their designs, making sure your next special dress fits you like a glove! Check it out here: JARLO website.
